To find out what CPU you have on a Mac, you must follow the different steps:
You just have to click on the Apple icon and then on About this Mac. From this window you can find out the computer's data, to find out if you have a 32-bit or 64-bit processor. If it doesn't show up (if you have a different Mac version), you can try this other trick: open a command prompt and type the command uname -an, it will return the architecture type of the computer.
This command returns the information of the processor, in the previous case we are dealing with x86_64, which means that it is 64 bits. If this appears, 64-bit programs can be installed.
