32 or 64 bit CPU on Windows

At the moment of starting the download of an operating or a program, it will be necessary to select if we have a 32-bit or 64-bit CPU. It is vitally important to know which CPU since it is necessary for the proper functioning of the applications.

To know what CPU you have in windows you must follow the different steps:

Open the windows pc, click on Control Panel, and click on system and security, and then click on system. In this section you can see all the information on the computer where it is included if it is 32 or 64 bits.

If you have 64 bits, it is the most recommended, since you can download all the programs and distributions in these bits. If your computer is 32-bit, you will have to go to advanced system configuration and in the system variables section you should set processor_architecture if it says x86 it means that the system is 32-bit otherwise it is 64-bit.

A very useful application is everest for windows, where all the processor information will appear.
